Lowering my 2004 denali

I was thinkng of removing my springs and cutting off them to lower my 2004 Denali XL about two inches. Will this work or will the auto ride defeat the purpose of cutting the springs to drop it it a couple inches??

Does anybody have any insight on this questions? If not Im going to cut them Sprimgs and Block up the leafs to lower to the right height??

Thanks, those would work perfect but Im on a budget and would cutting the springs work because that would be a free fix to lower the front and the back I havent figured out yet. Are all four wheels springs or does the rear have leaf springs on it??
