I purchased some rear 3" drop springs from a friend for $50. He told me to just turn down the factory keys up front. My question is up front what are the ways to lower the truck? Spindles, control arms, I read about 2500 hd keys? With the 3" drop rear will I require shock extenders or the pan bar or whatever it's called?

Go with spindles or control arms. Will be more expensive but you will like it better in the long hull

Can I combine the spindles with the control arms? And the drop control arms are they the lowers or the uppers aswell?

With just a 3" drop you won't need a new panhard bar but I would recommend shock extenders and I would also recommend like what has already been said get spindles or control arms for the front

Not sure if you can combine them but I don't see why you can't. If you are only doing 3 inches in the rear then you only need to go 2 in the front.

Well I plan on purchasing the 6" drop springs I keep reading about. I wanted my final drop to be 5/6. So I don't want to purchase parts I can't reuse. I just bought these springs because they were cheap and I hate the gap. Are all shock extenders the same so I can reuse them when I go 6". For the front what will get me lower the spindles or the control arms?

To get that low in the front you will have to use a combination. Going that low in the rear will also require new lowering shocks

Yeah I know because I read that everyone has either the spindles or the arms and the lowering keys.

Spindles and keys will get you 2" and control arms will get you 3". Pretty sure you can use any combination to get your desired drop.

Thanks. Looks like I need to do more research. Does djm sell the rear shock extenders separately?
