Sorry if this is a repeat thread, but I tried searching and couldn't find exactly what I wanted... I found a 6.0 from a 03 escalade esv, low miles, good price... Now other than a tune, what exactly do I need to put it in a 02 hoe 4.8L? And even though it came from a truck with awd, will it bolt to my 4wd Trans? Again sorry if it's been covered and I missed it, I just.don't want to waste my money...and I need to start buying anything I'll need for the swap.

It'll drop in BUT you should use your 4.8 intake so it's completely plug & play. Trans is fine...get a tune, might want to get a performance torque converter since you'll have the engine out, check motor for leaks (intake, oil sender, oil pan gasket, check for corrosion on the knock sensors, etc), & for peace of mind maybe replace the water pump.

When you say use the 4.8 intake are you talking about the black plastic plenum or the actual manifold? Is it different then the 6.0?

The black plastic intake is the plentum. Hes saying that to make it easier for the wiring harness and injectors to not have to mess with new connectors

So reuse my intake and injectors from the 4.8... The 6.0 doesn't use bigger injectors?

Yes the 6.0 should use bigger injectors but I'm not certain how much bigger they are. If I was to do it I would use the intake and injectors that come on the 6.0 and if your wiring harness doesn't work with those injectors they make a pigtail adaptor for swaps like that so your harness will plug into the injectors
