LQ9 in '05 & '06 Denali?

I was reading a post over at gmfs that said gm started putting the LQ9 in the Denali in '05. Anyone know if this is true?

Yes, that is true. However, it only went into the Sierra Denali, never the Yukon Denali.

It's the high-output version of the Denali motor. It has 345hp/380lb/ft vs 325hp/365lbft. Standard in
02-06 Escalade, 03-06 Silverado SS, 05-07 Sierra Denali.

It's the same engine as an LQ4, but it has flattop pistons, giving it 10:1 compression, and beefier rods.

much better heads also. just get the heads from gm for $600 and put them on an lq4 with a nice cam and it will be a beast.

LQ9's have 317 heads, the same as 02 & up LQ4's.

then what are the heads that are on the newest truck motor? they can be bought for $600 at the deal and flow well over 300 without even cleaning them up. is it the 6.2 head?

i helped my boss install them on the 6.0 he just built for his malibu. i forget the cast number. he went carb since he is old school. but i must say its a bad *****.
