Looking at new tires since my 285/50/20 Nitto 420S's are getting old. I would get the 420Vs but they are back-ordered and I'd like a slightly taller skinnier tire this time so I've been looking at 275/55/20s and I can actually get a Michelin tire for less than the 420Vs! It's the LTX A/T2s and they are going for $155 a tire in the size of 275 /55 R20 113T SL BSW. I like the more AT-style tread as I do a considerable amount of sketchy offroading for a 2wd and I think they will do better in the rain as well. What kinda worries me is the SL rating where my Nittos have the XL rating, I do tow a considerable amount but I rarely ever air the tires above 35psi.

So anyone run these? I want to get a minimum 40k lifespan out of whatever I get the Nittos are pushing past that now and have at least another 10k in them. My only complaint is that they are getting dry and cracking in less than 3 years.

We got Bridgestones for my wife's 2005 Suburban 2500 and my daughter's 2003 Sierra. I was looking for, specifically, something with good, wet traction. They shut down when it snows, down here. But my daughter and my wife have to commute if it rains. I can't get the sizes, right now, but will later today, I hope.

I had some Bridgestone's on the Tahoe when I first got it, they were pretty worn out and rode really hard. Probably just because they were old but I also don't see any in my size under $200 a tire. Trying to be cheap because I know I'll end up doing burnouts and if I pay to much for them I'll want to baby them hahaha.

I have run those on several trucks in different sizes. A pretty good tire all around. They always balanced well and ran quiet for an AT. Pretty much as quiet as any HT. Not aggressive enough to be very good in mud, but quite good in sand or snow.

Sand is my biggest concern as far as off-roading goes it will never see mud if I can help it. I’m glad they are quiet that’s another huge concern, these nitros have definitely gotten louder but overall not bad. These seem like a really good deal, I may scoop them up if I don’t find a set of 2021/2022 takeoff wheel and tire packages under 1k.
