I was talking to my friend about the deal I got on my nnbs wheels and he asks me if I got the correct nuts for them. When I installed them I just used my stock nuts instead of the nuts that came with the wheels. Does anybody know if these wheels need special nuts?

lots of rims have specific nuts, even rims from the same trucks/years. steelies vs alloys vs well u get it. i know over in the tundra world we have this issue when people swap and trade and upgrade. not knowing for sure what they "should" look like, if i were in your shoes, i'd just run to discount tire and tell them you got the new style rims and ask them to look at your nuts (hahahaha dayum i crack myself up) and see if they seat and fit correctly. they deal with all shapes and styles so they would be able to tell if they fit right. they may not be the actual "correct" ones that came with the rims but if the shoulder is at the correct angle, they can still work etc. if you ask a dealer, they'll probally try to sell you new axles or a new truck to go with the rims.

The thread about the wheel falling off on the freeway has got me all paranoid now. I'm definitely gonna go to discount tire and ask them take a look at my nuts and also make sure I have the correct lugs, lol. Thanks Chad.
