MAF error and banks 1 & 2 running lean? Help

For the past 4 months I have been getting error codes 101 and 174 on and off. 101 indicates a Mass Airflow Sensor error and 171 & 174 indicates that banks 1 or 2 are running lean. I inspected and cleaned the MAF with Brake Cleaner and it worked good for about 3 weeks and then the error came back. Does anybody know what I need to do to get these errors repaired. I believe that the codes are related but Im not sure what to do. I have a K&N cold air intake installed and I have read that sometimes the oil from the K&N can infest the MAF and cause the error. I cleaned the K&N and didnt add any recharging oil hoping this wouldnt extract any oil to pollute the MAF. Any help would be greatly appriciated. Please help. The K&N needs that oil to work effectively, and cleaning with brake cleaner is bad...you need a cleaner specific to the MAF. This will have damaged your MAF and will cause it to need replacing, also if you touched the sensor or scrubbed it that could cause damage too. That being said, before the use of brake cleaner, it sounds like it is the MAF because its causing both banks to run lean, if it was just one it may be another problem. I had this problem and replaced the MAF, which was defective, so I had to replace it a second time, and it seemed to work. Another possibility is that your O2 sensors need to be replaced, but it seems odd that they would both go out at the same time, and considering you have the DTC101 it really points to the MAF.
