I just wanted to give anyone in the market a heads up on this system.

First off, I love the system and I'm not dogging it. I only have one issue, and it's with the cabin drone at around 2200 RPM.

I called Magnaflow today and the tech said it's a common complaint with that setup on our SUVs and trucks. The system itself at that RPM range vibrates, and it starts to resonate and has a hum to it like a pipe organ. In the enclosed cabin, it's a mind numbing noise.

I don't see anywhere under my hoe in the pipe setup that I can weld a resonator, so I guess I'm stuck with it.
The only straight piece of pipe on the whole system is after the muffler, and any kind of resonator would cause a clearance issue.

This weekend I plan to complete my FatMat install by taking out the front seats and installing all the way up to the firewall. I don't anticipate that it will kill the drone, but it sure as hell killed the road noise doing the rear section.

At any rate, if my hoe did not double as the family wagon nights and weekends I wouldn't give a damn about the noise.. but it does, so unfortunately I gotta adress it!

Any input or suggestions appreciated. (besides "buy Corsa" or "Flowmasters"... etc.) :)

Well contrary to what you may have heard, they ALL drone. It's just a matter of how much drone. Pick your poison. I personally don't have that exact system you listed but I do have magnaflow. If drone is a big issue for you, don't even spell flowmaster. Good luck

Try loosening the clamps and readjusting everything. I have this catback on mine and it is almost completely silent at cruising speed. By adjusting the system, maybe you can "adjust out" the resonance.

go flo pro if you want alot less drone. In order of highest drone to lowest. IMO is magnaflow, flowmaster, flo pro being the lowest.

I finished FatMat on the front 1/2 of the truck, and the sound is quite a bit quieter. The drone is still there, but I think it's going to help my driving habits more than anything.

There's no reason for me to travel 75mph+ with my family in the Hoe. Speed limits here are 70 on Interstates during the day, and anything above 70 mph sustained and my SUV gets the worst gas mileage you could imagine. I'll just put in on cruise, and viola! no drone.

Thanks guys for the input, but I'm going to stick with what I got.
