Holy cow, I dont know where to start.
I dont drive this truck every day, and obviously let it sit a little long for this to happen.
I started it and the A/C blower unit started making this horrible sound...I knew immediately something wasn't right. After reading about some of the blower unit issues and blower control module stuff, I decided to take off the blower fan and see what the issue was.
This is what I found when I pulled the blower fan down:
(There is obviously a reason some people call this a squirrel cage!)
This is what it looks like looking up from where the blower unit sits.
So I really have no idea what I am looking at other than the fact that it looks like I can see where he was able to get into that area by eating the mesh screen and going through there...
I am not sure how to even reasonably access that area, I dont assume there are any other easy ways one can get to that spot from the outside?
Any thoughts on what to do next are truly appreciated.
FYI, 2005 Chevy Z-71 Tahoe
