ive heard soap and water works good if the wheels are cooled off just dry with a microfiber rag

Joseph, there are many different ways to clean matte wheels.

Two rules to always keep in mind when cleaning wheels, especially matte ones:
  • [*]Never clean them when they are hot
[*]Never let any cleaning product dry on them

Soap and water is always going to be your safest bet. If that's doing the job, then stick with it. If not, we offer a few different wheel-specific cleaning products:

Our Green Wheel Cleaner is a gentle, yet highly effective cleaner for wheels that are maintained fairly well that aren't REALLY dirty.

If they are very dusty and have some heavy contamination, then our newest product, Adam's Deep Wheel Cleaner is perfect for that situation. It's formulated to break up heavy metallic brake dust and other serious contamination, but it's pH neutral so it's safe for all wheel finishes.

Sure thing.

If they stay clean, then Green Wheel Cleaner will be the ticket!
