Im a noob to the forum and i have a stock 99 tahoe lt 4x4 4 door with stock rims on it and i was just wondering what is the biggest tire size i could put on it without lifting it.

265's. Clearing 285's USUALLY (not always, but 90 percent of the time) needs either a slight lift, or level. You can either buy a leveling kit (new t-bar keys) or crank the t-bars up.

Of course, you could always stuff 285's with some trimming if you would want.

exactly a 265 will have no issues, a 285 will fit on stock wheels with minor rubbing

I seems from what I've learned from some more of the senior members here that our Tahoe' Yukon's vary in height from the factory. Essentially, what might fit on one doesn't necessarily mean it will fit on another.

My Tahoe came with 265/65/16's on her and my wheel wells are hungry. But others vehicles have 265's and they are stuffed, so it varies from vehicle to vehicle.

265/75/16s were/are standard on my 'hoe, but when I get a 2.5" lift it will take 285s
