Motor Swap TB Question

I have a 04 5.3 Yukon xl with Drive by wire. Im looking for a replacement motor and seen a few motors with Drive by cable throttle body's. What all needs to be changed on it to use my current drive by wire?

Ive also been reading that a 6.0 swap is pretty straight forward and all thats really needed is a flexplate from the 5.3 and a tune for the computer. Is that all or anything else? This would give me more options while motor shopping. I know that the 99-2001/2002 6.0 had a different crank so ill stay away from those. If i found a 6.0 with DBW would my current pedal work?

just swap the DBC Tb with your DBW TB, and done.


Yess, get that 6.0 and yess your DBW will work.

thanks. thats what i needed to know. I hate getting parts and finding out that bolt holes dont line up or connectors dont fit or just plain missing.

4.8, 5.3 6.0 all same.

bore/stroke , cam, injectors, only change.
