BUT WAIT, there is MORE!!!!!

As you have learned by now, my Burb has the AFM (Active Fuel Management) system.

The DIC states that I get an average of 9.0 Miles to the gallon. I have traveled approx. 80 miles so far after resetting the DIC after filling her up, and I have NOT driven on the freeway/highway or anything else but major surface roads and within the city limits.

Now for the same amount/type of driving, I get a DIC read of around 11 MPG on my Yukon.

Is the 2 wheel drive Burb with the 5.3L Engine that much worse when it comes to the fuel econmoy? In my opinion it should be much better with the AFM System then my Yuk? Am I mistaken?

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance guys.

Lol I wouldn't completely trust DIC. Are you running the factory wheels that came on the burb?

Well, I do not completely trust it, but I would not think it should be that far off.

YES, I am running the 20" factory LTZ wheels with 275/55R20's

On my 4wd Burb I get roughly 14 mpg around town and I'd think your 2wd would get at least that if not slightly better than that. I'd say your DIC is "out of whack" and may wanna calculate it manually before jumping to any issues. If you're indeed getting that bad of gas mileage then we can start troubleshooting things like air filter, spark plugs,.... Hookers in the back creating extra weight and causing lower MPGs.... stuff of that nature
