thinking about adding one of these to my 96 hoe and was wondering who is running them and what they thought. did you notice any improvements in engine response and power, etc.

Spend your money on a custom PCM tune if you don't have one already. 6A if you have to get one or the other, the stock PCM has a rev limiter setting so the 6AL is pretty much useless. No real big change for me other than MAYBE a smoother idle

Not sure what guy griff is talking about but I have a 6a and its awesome. Not to say that a tune wouldnt help but I Have noticed a nice difference since installing mine. Low end torque is awesome and It will help on gas mileage a little too.

What about the 6AL-2? Any one buy one? Any good? Worth the extra $$ over the 6?
I have a tune with the rev and speed limiter deleted, so I could use the rev limiter turn dials of the -2.

What would be a good rev limit? It's a new motor, and I run full synthetic, but I don't want to kill it either, so I was thinking of setting it to 4500?

Biggwaukegan - did you get the MSD coil, wiring harness, and plug wires too?

If you're running a black box PCM, it is still set to 5800. There isn't a way to tune that out.

I don't have a tune yet my 96 hoe is a bastard year so I am in the process of getting and installing a 0411 and getting efi live

ok, I have a BB tune, so I guess I do have a rev limit. So a 6 would be just fine...
