I was wondering everyone's opinion on mud flaps. Should I put them on or not. I have til the 9th to decide when I get them from the dealership. I just wasnt sure of how it would look. Some pictures make the Tahoe look tacky. All opinions are welcome. The only reason I was even thinking of getting them was small chips are being taken out of the rear bumper that looks like its because of the rear tire throwing rocks or something.

They look terrible. Don't care if they are painted, molded, flat with naked ladies on them. They will look like shit. Function yes, appearance no.

I put mudflaps in the same category with the car bras: probably functional, but ugly as hell.

But, what ever floats your boat. If you want to install them to protect your paint, then go for it. It's your truck and you do what you want to it.

No, we will not allow it. If I see your rig with mud flaps on it I am taking them off! It will be a mud flap intervention.

Go to any bodyshop or tint place and ask them for stone guard on your rear bumper behind the wheels (you can do front wheels too but with the running board it is not necessary). Basically it is a clear film (same as a 3M clear bra) and will protect your paint from anything those tires can throw up at it

Not a big fan of mud flaps for appearance, but I have a crappy driveway and 6 days after it rains it still has a mud hole under the concrete that if I was not careful it would splash mud on the side of my truck... It drove me craaaaaaazy, can't stand a dirty truck.

So I had to weigh... Dirty truck or ugly mudflaps... Dirty truck or ugly mudflaps..

I got the mudflaps and it is such an improvement keeping it clean. I don't even notice them any more.

I got mine from the floor mat people... weathertech... I will admit they fit perfect... I chose to drill the holes in the inner plastic fender, I did not have to, but I figured it would help hold them on a little...

Like I said, it was not my first choice, but I had to do something to keep my sanity.

What door handles are you replacing? Color-matched to chrome by chance?
