So before you read any of my rant I just want you to know that I fully realize everything that has happened is completely my own fault and I just need to get it off my mind.

We'll start with body damage to the passenger side of my truck that I caused when I tried to dodge a shredded truck tire on the highway a month ago, I never posted about it before because I figured at some point I'd just get it fixed and then never think about it but now I realize that was just the beginning of a long slippery slope to this point. In trying to dodge the tire, I went onto the shoulder of the highway and thought I'd clear the dividing wall, instead I did a number to the front fender, both passenger side doors and corner of the rear fender. Estimates I've received on the body damage repair have been $2000-$3000 - out of my pocket because I'd rather not file a claim with my insurance and get my rate jacked up.

Next up, I left my truck with my dealer to have my Heated passenger seat fixed as well as replacing my transmission lines because of leaks. The dealer did all the work under my extended warranty and it only cost me $50. But the rental car the dealer gave me didn't come out of it great. On New years day, I side swiped a brick wall of my home while trying to back out of the parking spot because I didn't sense that the wheels were turned when i put it into reverse - I had parked about 2 feet from the wall and before I could do anything about it kissed the front fender to the wall. Body shop came back to me with a $750 repair bill if I pay cash - my insurance deductible is $500, so instead of risking jacking up my insurance rate, i am going to pay this out of my pocket as well. The crap-tastic part of all this is that the dealer had originally estimated that I'd get my Tahoe back from repairs on the 31st, therefore none of this would have happened if they had fixed it on time and i had my tahoe.

Now tonight, not even a full week after getting my tahoe back from the dealer for the aforementioned repair, I was trying to innocently wipe the rear wiper blade off from the snow and ended up ripping the entire assembly off. Essentially I did a wiper delete to it, all that is keeping it connected is the fluid hose. How this happened, I have no idea, I've wiped that blade dozens of times without past incident. Due to the snow and slush that has collected on my truck, I can't tell the full extent of the damage and hope that it can be easily re-attached but I'm expecting the worst and another multi-hundred dollar repair bill.

I just feel like this truck is causing me more problems than it's worth, I have never had this kind of experience with any of my previous cars. I am at the point of regretting getting it and going from 2 previous volvo's which never gave me a single issue in 6 years of combined ownership to this - one problem after another.

I realize all of this has been caused by my own hand, but seriously it just feels like a perfect case of Murphy's law. I have enough equity in the tahoe to trade it in, as is and drive off the lot with a brand new leased and fully warrantied/ covered infinity, volvo, lexus, etc... give me a reason not to.

Sh** happens. if you haven't filed a claim in a few years there is a good chance they wont raise your rate. It would have been better to just hit the tire casing, yes I know they are hard but at least you won't have gone off the road. Don't blame your truck, it's just life. Sooner or later we all pay, some just pay more than others.

Yep don't ever drive off the road to miss something (other than a human of coarse). If you would have just hit the tire and if it would have actually done any damage to the truck it would have covered under your comp coverage.

Not trying to be an ass...but you drive like shit man. lol :anitoof:

Seriously though, life happens all the time and it sucks. If you'd be happier in a new sedan, then get what makes you happy. I like my Tahoe for the safety and comfort it provides me and my family when we travel, and the nice 4x4 system for inclement weather. We've taken 3 long road trips since buying it last April (about 12k miles total) and haven't been disappointed one bit. Not sure what's up with the rear wiper but they don't just fall off. Check the rest of the truck for damage in that area. Either you whacked it alot harder than you thought, or someone else did for you.

So, after the snow and ice melted a little from the rear end of my truck I was able to take a closer look at what caused the wiper to break off and there was a copious amount of rust at the edges of both breaks of the ring attaching the wiper to the motor... now I blame GM instead of myself. This might be something you guys would want to check as well. Scary that my tahoe only has 57,000 miles and has had this many simple part breaks.

Wondering if this will be covered under my warranty as well?
