I just sold my jeep and I got money to spend on my hoe :peace:

I guess the first order will be getting my lift. I know its going to be the RCX but I'm still trying to decide on a 4" or 6" lift. Not looking to re-gear or anything like that. Biggest tire I would run would be a 35" but most likely it will be a 35" and smaller, but I like having the option of running 35's. I might put on a 1" body lift at a later date but none for right now and even then only if I would have too.

Bumpers I like the tactical armor ones but I have heard they are a pain to deal with so I might get my local fab shop to build me some like them. Does anyone know if they have gotten any easier to deal with or know of some other bumpers like them that I could look at and order? Ill try to get some pics up this weekend so that I can have a record of what my hoe looked like before all the moding.

If you got any suggestions post up and give me some ideas. Looks like I'm going to have a good winter and one hell of a summer to look forward to :favorites37:

Awesome man Cant wait, I would vote for the 6 inch lift that way you have the option to go higher or lower depending on your needs and how they WILL change over the course of the build. why not rehear?

TAG bumpers are JUNK, Maybe when they started out they were good but I have some information on the subject about TAG bumpers you might want to read before you go that route. Because the Article is on another forum Ill just PM it to you so we don't break any rules here,

Cant wait for the pictures Im subscribed :win:

Also If you don't mind Im moving this to the "under construction" portion of the forum because Im assuming this is a Build thread

To be honest Its considered a Build thread, we do it mainly to prevent it from clogging up with irrelevant Information , I am not powerful lol I wish. But I will move it back for the time being so it can generate interest . this is your community , so Ill move it back for the time being ,

One question what kind of Expo are you building this for?

Desert, Arctic, or General use?

Thanks :D

Im building it for Desert. Like I tell my friends "12 years in the Marines, I was trained for Desert warfare." I love the desert and will be spending 80% of my time there but she will be doing some time in the mountains from time to time. Ill also I'll be building my expedition camping trailer at the same time. I got a CMD M101 1/4 ton trailer that I have been using behind my jeep for camping. I all ready have a RTT and cut in a tail gate on my trailer. I need to change out the hubs over to a chevy. I had it set up for my jeep. Does any one know what size bolt on a 6 bolt chevy? I know my jeep was 5 on 5.5.

Ha! Hell yea will have to meet over at Daq's for a beer and a game of pool.

I'm going to get some pics today after work. Yea I want to have something to look back on as well.
Its a 1998 2dr with the Auto 4x4. I made up my mind to go a head and get the 6" lift. Its only a few bucks more. Does anyone know how good the shocks are that come with the kit? Is it worth it to get the upgraded ones or find some better after market ones? Let me know I'm ordering my lift on Monday and it should have it by Wednesday :peace:
