Hey all - new to the site.

I have had gm products all my driving career 88Camaro/91Blazer/86Blazer/94Sierra/96Tahoe, except for (1) 1988 Ford T-bird that got the living shit beat out of it literally (My friend drove it into a stone wall) and while it was on the jack some ****** came by and smashed my passenger window and clawed my radio out. Luckily my friends $1500 worth of PS2 stuff was left alone.

My most recent aquisition is my 1996 Chevy Tahoe LT. Saw it on craigslist for $1750 went and took a look at it, and a week later it was mine for $1000. 2 years ago the previous owner put in a Jasper Reman Motor w/ updated Vortec Heads(currently at 45k) purrs like a kitten and I have receipts for the last 5years that totals well over 7500 of work done at the same shop including a rear end replaced/rebuilt tranny/misc. maintenance parts. So should be smooth sailing for quite a while...

Figured at that price how could you go wrong. Bought it winter 09 have been messing around with it ever since. So far have done LED tails, grille guard, tail guards, de-badged/molded. painted rear bumper, slight stereo upgrade (head unit and speakers) Painted Grille, new clear headlights/corners.

Still a work in progress - would eventually love to do 6" lift w/ 35s and black wheels.

First 2 pics are from when I first got it, and last 2 are a bit dated will upload some newer ones shortly when my camera decides to work again.

Feel free to drop suggestions/opinions/likes/dislikes.

Welcome! Nice looking 'Hoe you got there. You'll find some good information here from a bunch of dudes and a couple dudettes who love their Yukons and Tahoes.

I want a 6 inch lift and big-ass tires eventually, too.

@basmoul - Your tahoe is very clean, like the look alot.

Yeah exhaust is definitely next on the list I think.

Would love to do a complete block back exhaust but funds do not allow such fun to be had at the current time.

I am contemplating switching over to black housing headlights/bumpers and smoked corners.

Future mods include: Block back exhaust, 6" Lift 35/18s, Safari Rack (after lift), 4/5 Driving lights on rack, fender flares, ventvisors, complete interior overhaul, new seats, carpet, headliner, etc. Would love to find a 99-00 Z71/Denali with the 2-tone to steal from, and a fresh coat of paint would be amazing.

Don't go the same route as everybody else. Do a body lift and some 33" tires agressive tread, with some cragar soft 8's with the chrome centers. Then black everything else out. Run some antennas and get some police equipment. Get a spotlight on the mirror. You know what to do man... Cop it out!

Yep definitely not as plump as it was.

I'm pretty sure I've already passed the cost of the truck in mods already, but then again 1k that isn't hard to do.

And I'm pretty sure it has significant shrinkage knowing what the future holds.

But it is nice to find something cheap to start with knowing you have that much more to shower it with...

@bowtiefreak - I'm pretty sure I am in love with your truck that is almost 100% exactly what I have wanted for oh so long. Damn you 2dr owners!
