Hey everyone,
So i owned my Denali for 16 days before getting it cracked up in an accident :( Because i have never been in an accident before i have never gone through this process can i go after insurance for the vehicle being devalued because it now shows an accident on my carfax?

It's called diminished value. Take it to carmax once it's fixed, ask them how much it's worth on trade in now and how much it would have been worth before the accident. That's the diminished value and what you claim.

You can certainly attempt to. How it works will vary from one state to the next. I suggest you do some searching to see if you can learn more about the laws in your state. I did it successfully a few years back but it took some effort so do your homework first. If you were at fault then there are very few states that let you claim diminished value(I think GA is the only one). If not most states will let you claim something through the other persons liability.

I did it successfully here in Texas on my wifes old Audi. There was a guy who specialized in dealing with insurance companies, and did all kinds of paperwork to back up the claim. I think he charged $250, but we got an additional $5500 back on diminished value, so well worth it.
