One word for lifts SUPERLIFT --- my opinion of course

I'm gonna shop around a bit... Probably won't be any time soon, really. I don't want to make it too big because I drive it every day. My plans were to originally keep this close to stock and spend my money on the Duramax... But I can't leave anything alone :p

Powder oat the grille guard white.

Kinda thought about that. I'd like to color match the bumpers - so the grill guard would probably look better white also.

So I finally ran across an OBS Escalade at the salvage yard... Actually, two identical ones right next to eachother.
Grabbed a set of gauges...

And the foglight switch for my future brush guard lights.

Both had center consoles - one was trashed, the other wasn't much better so I grabbed the better of the two. I felt like I needed a tetanus shot after being in that nasty truck.

Completely disassembled, stripped with a pressure washer, sprayed with promotor and painted. Also painted the wood insert gloss black for now... But thinking about hydro-dipping all the trim.

Installed the factory Bose sub also... Have to admit I'm pretty impressed how it sounds. I'm glad I didn't trash it.

And the finished product...

I went back to the salvage yard and grabbed the armrest from the other escalade - it wasn't torn at all, just nasty. I've since painted it also for now. Not holding my breath on how well it'll hold up, but it looks perfect until I decide to reupholster it.

I also picked up all 4 woodgrain and leather inserts for the doors... I played around a little bit with the fabric on mine - doesn't look like it's going to be an easy swap. This may sit on the back burner for a few weeks until I get a weekend to do it. I will most likely paint the leather to match with the same paint I used for the console and dip the woodgrain inserts to match whatever I decide to go with on the center console wood.

Back when I was in school I bought a cheap '98 Bonneville to drive back and forth as a gas getter.... On that gen Bonneville they didn't have illuminated window switches - but little LED accent lights that shined down on them. I like playing with stuff like that, so I had grabbed a bunch when I was at the salvage yards a long time ago. I ran across them in my garage and decided to stick a couple in my cupholder. Turned out perfect. Not too bright, just a nice faint glow to the cupholders.

Been hanging around GMT400 some lately, but haven't really had time to do many updates either place.
I've played with the Yukon a little more...
I've had PIAA's, Hella's, KC's, and I just can't justify spending that kind of money right now on something I never use..
Picked up these cheap-o lights from Northern Tool for $8/piece. They'll work for now.

Wired them up to an Escalade fog switch..

The screen was jacked in it... But picked up a replacement screen, DVD player, FM modulator and all wiring I need from eBay for $30 shipped.

cowboyzr2, I have a couple of questions in reference to the Audiovox overhead console you installed. I recently acquired one and wanted to hook up the monitor to my in dash radio/dvd player and had some wiring questions. please hit me up if you can. Thanks

Cowboyzr2,
Can you get a close-up shot of the front bumper lights? Also, what lights in the bumper did you just update too?

Thanks

That overhead console is pretty sweet , did that come from a suburban with a soco pkg or a astrovan?
