My remote start stopped working today...

My remote start failed to work today. Tried getting right up to the vehicle also (in case it was a dying fob issue), but no go.

Now, it just so happens that I also had my Check Engine light go on yesterday -- but I suspected that had to do with my Volant, and nothing else.

Anyone else have their remote start go? What was the cause/fix?

The remote start feature is automatically disabled when the Check Engine light comes on, and remains disabled until the computer sees the issue has been resolved and the light goes away.

Thanks, Zach. I just read that on another thread here, came back to say that I probably answered my own question, and you had already responded. Thanks for confirming.

Unfortunately, that means I'm back to the real question of how to NOT get a CEL with my Volant! Dangit.

Anyone have a cure for the Volant-on-an-'09-throwing-the-CEL problem?
