This is my first time posting on any forums so take it easy on me... I recently aquired a 95 Chevy tahoe 2dr 4x4. with the 5.7. I am slowly turning this truck into an everyday driver. I have taken care of the engine part of my project and now I'm on to the suspension end of things. My problem is this...when driving the vehicle down a dry paved road it handles like a Tahoe with 200,000 miles on it, (loose steering bumpy ride and lots of noises),but when I drive on any kind of snow or slush or any slick surface the back end feels like it is going to slide sideways...even at very low speeds,(25-35mph). I just put new rear shocks on it and brought it to a spring shop and they say the rear leafs are good and wouldn't cause this issue. The sway doesn't seem to favor one side or the other. It seems equally bad in either direction. I should mention that I have fairly worn tires on this vehicle. I would like to fix or replace anything that needs it before I drop 800 dollars on new tires. It has 285/75/16 BF A/T's on it. I'm curious if anyone else has had this or should I put new tires on it first? The truck tracks nice and straight down the road and there isn't any vibration or shaking like the tires are the culprit. Thanks in advance and I hope I put enough information here.
