Greetings to all From Cleveland, OH! Was just blessed to accquire a Black 2000 Chevy Tahoe Limited, with only 65k and some change Miles. Don't laugh, It's my first Truck, of any sort, and I have next to no mechanical Skill :-(, Got family that works on cars, Is it too late for this old dog to learn some new mechanical tricks? Found the site while looking at images of aftermarket rims, Since she's my Daily Driver, Just want to get some nice Rims, something black with a nice lip. (Those Dalar 6 black with the chrome accents are NUTS!) And maybe a Flip out DVD in dash and some stealthed speakers.

This is where I need you expert's help, I'm kinda scared to drop her any cause of the rough winters we have here, Can I get the Rims with the nice lip look without lowering the ride.

You have some Nice looking trucks on here, thanks in advance for any advice/guidance.

Welcome brother! That's some seriously low miles man!

Don't worry so much about mechanical skill and wether you have it or not. I guarantee you can pick it up - ESPECIALLY with this board as your lifeboat. Use the search button and if that doesn't work post up any issues you have brotha! New doesn't mean incompetent....

:welcome: Nice find with the low miles! I thought was doing good finding one in the mid 80's. These forums actually go a long way in furthering mechanical skill thanks to the skillful posting up how-to's on things that they have done. Between this forums and some of my past forums I have actually learned to do quite a few things from following instructions of others. You can definitely get wheels like you want without lowering. I recommend not going too large though if you worrying about harshness of the roads. I would think 22's or less so you can keep more tire. Sounds like you have great plans for the ride. Looking forward to seeing pics of her and the mods to come!

Welcome to the site bro:cheers: Post up some pics when you get a chance. We don't see a whole lotta clean Limiteds, especially with the low mileage yours has.

I missed the question there sorry. When I re-read your post, I thought of JK driving my tahoe to Dallas from Austin. The interstate had flooded over and I was glad I didn't have a scoop on the intake. I'm not interested in finding out if that little pull from the intake can suck up any water or water vapor in.

Certainly dropping the ride makes it more prone to these issues and snow is one of them. There are many guys on the site from up north who can chime in on their experiences. I think MAX lives near snow? His ride is Loow..
