I bought control arm bushing on the weekend from my napa store and they were manufactored in three different countries...USA, India and mexico.
The problem is one set of uppers is USA, the other India, and they are different.
They are close enough you might not notice unless you put them side by side but when I did the 'precision engineered' measurments were off. The metal stamping is different on the shaft and the ridge locks on the end are different in that they stick out further on the indian ones.
As well the rubber insert is thicker at one end of the bushings.
My concern is one wheel will sit differently than the other ... precision engineered my a$$.
I called the retailer to bring in some more so I could at least have consistent bushings on each side.
I didn't want poly bushings, and GM-AC Delco gets their parts from China now, so I guess I'm stuck with NAPA stuff unless someone else makes rubber bushings.
