Has anyone ever narrowed the front suspension so that the front wheels will sit in the wheel wells like the rear do?

I know that I could put different wheels or order custom offset wheels. But, I typically get a new set of wheels every spring just to change the way the vehicle looks. I would like to not have to go through the hassel of ordering custom wheels every time.

If I order high offset wheels to tuck in the front, I would need rear wheel spacers/custom offset wheels so that the rears will look right.

I have not pulled the front end apart yet, but looking at pics of different components, I believe I could safely mill off .125" of the spindles where the wheel bearing assembly mounts and where the caliper mounts.

Yes, my Yukon is 4 wheel drive, but if I remember correctly when I put on the drop spindles, there was around 1/2" of play in the front axles and I could even have that shortened if needed.

I also know that I could play with the alignment some to make the wheel/tire tuck into the fender, but I would prefer not to.

I would like to move everything in about .375" to .500".

I would say it is not worht it and can get more complicated than you think.
The rear sits about .7" further inside than the front so you could just get front wheels with a +35, then rear wheels with a +20 offset, then they will be 100% even with the same size tire.
