Hey Guys,

Can't find a thread this was covered in, but it must have been... maybe someone can point me to the proper place...

Is there a way to disable the restriction to input destinations while driving on a stock 09 Tahoe Nav System?

Thanks!

Thanks emann... We'll see what others have to say... Hoping it's some software based hidden preference...

Yeah, no way to do it without the lockpick or possibly some wire cutting.

It works as advertised. It pauses the nav will you engage it. This allows you to input your destination while driving. You then disable it and the nav starts tracking again with your destination. You can also watch DVD's, access the rear cam anytime you like. I like mine.

Yup works as advertised and super easy to install. Hardest part with install is removing the trim piece gently so you dont crack/snap it! Rest is simple plug and play.

Also I could be wrong but I thought the NAV tracking only paused when you had DVD in Motion on? Im no where near the vehicle to verify but I swear it was only when I set DVD in Motion the NAV tracking paused. Once DVD in Motion was off, the NAV picked up. Sucks but better than nothing, would prefer it all to just work as intended and not locked down due to lawsuit saving butts for morons who try to drive and mess with it... Thats what the Co Pilot is for!

I definitely wouldn't cut wires if I don't have to. The lockpick seems like the best option.
