Hey guys- I just picked up an 09 LT Suburban without nav or bose. I'd like to install a factory nav head unit but understand it won't work with the bose amp. Is there a wiring harness I can get that will allow me to use an aftermarket amp (RF is my go-to) with the factory nav receiver?
I think I confused you guys with the question (and see I worded it wrong, been working a power plant outage and am a zombie right now).
I am considering installing an 09 NAV unit into an 09 Suburban without Bose. It is my understanding that the NAV unit will not work without an external amplifier (the factory uses the Bose). I do not want to run the Bose. I do not like the Bose. I see there are a million different wiring harnesses available these days- is there one available that will allow me to install the 09 navi unit and send the output to an aftermarket external amplifier? Can somebody direct me to the correct harness to do so? There seems to be way too many options out there.
I figure I can run the nav unit, keep an extra GPS off the dash, keep the nice stock look but run a nice amplifier and some decent speakers and have a decent system. I don't want to run an aftermarket receiver- I have a full system in my 02 and just want to keep the bus looking stock (one less thing to worry about when its parked somewhere unprotected).
Thanks!!!
