I have to rebuild my motor due to oil starvation because AutoZone gave me the wrong o-ring for the oil pickup tube. I was planning on a 408 stroker. Does anyone know of a good engine builder in the Dallas Fort Worth area? I need them to do the whole job.

I think u will be happy...remember you need torque down low to get these pigs moving...HP is great but torque is where it's at! You know Texas Speed sells complete short and long blocks.

Ya i thought about going down to TexasSpeed and picking something up. Not sure if its worth it... Theres the 408 LQ9 short block and long block. not sure which is the best for me... or if its even worth the money... well i know its worth the money just not sure if thats what i need.

I know a great builder in arlington, but I don't know what his knowledge of ls engines is. I have had him do several 4.3's and 5.7's. His 5.7 full rebuild price is like 1k for a long block. I think he wanted 1500 for my old 6.0 but I sold the truck before I got it done

A1 engines in arlington. Check with him. Ask him a bunch of ls related questions and see if he knows alot about them.

all the reviews on Google are really bad. Sounds like a bunch of unhappy customers.
