Every day my 2002 Tahoe won't start due to a dead or low battery. Battery tests fine once I charge it. Alternator is also charging just fine according to 2 different O'Reilly stores. Hooked voltmeter up in series and switched it to read milliamps. With nothing on(pulled the hood light off also), i have a drain of 163 milliamps. Pulling the CTSY(courtesy lamps) fuse drops the draw all the way down to 8 milliamps so it looks like i have something on the CTSY circuit that is doing this. I have a Haynes manual and I have also looked at the chiltonlibrary.com electrical diagrams but this is where i need some advice. Do i just start pulling lightbulbs in the cabin and then look to see if the amp draw drops? Is there a halfway point that I should get into and see if i can cut the problem in half? any ideas are welcome as I'm not wanting to shell out hundred(s) of dollars on a repair shop trying to find the drain.

Thanks in advance,

Tim

i don't see the power seats as tied into the CTSY circuit. a troubleshooting question... if i start pulling bulbs out should i use a test light to look for a short or just a 2nd multimeter?
