I have aquired a 96 tahoe 5.7l. I am running into maf and oxygen sensor issues in conjuntion with the fuel injector poppet issue that is well known. I here that I really need to stick to o.e.m. parts to fix this otherwise the fixes might not work. I can save about $390 on the maf sensor and injector assy alone with after market parts such as a-1 cordone and bwd respectively. What are my chances on getting these to work? I still have alot of other work to do on it.

I've replaced my injectors, fuel pump, ac, distributor, and other odds and ends all with the aftermarket parts stores brands and haven't had any issues out of them. Take that for what it's worth. It's up to you to decide if you get enough peace of mind out of oem products to justify the high cost.
