My old amp blew out, it was a soundstream and it was tuned to power my 2 12in sony xplod subs. the subs are 1000w but rated at 300w rms w/ 4ohms.

im looking at some new amps and really only looking to spend around 100bucks. i really dont want something to bump really hard but just enough to be noticed.

how do i determine what amp to buy, i was looking at buying a 1000w kenwood amp that you could bridge 2 subs on.

You are looking for a mono block amp that would do around 600w rms. ignore all other numbers except for rms power. You have to get a mono because most to all 2 channels will only run 4ohm mono and 4/2ohm stereo. If you found a 2channel you would need it to run 300w rms per channel at 4 ohms. And for only $100 you will web shopping for used or cheap brands. A random amp you could search for could be an alpine mrpm500. It's a few years old and should be able to find one cheap on eBay and it does 500w rms at 2ohms
