I bought this 98 Yukon a couple of weeks ago, i can hear the gear hum already. Aside that the previous owner put 305/70R16 tires on the stock wheels, yesterday I upgraded those crappy tires n wheels to 295/70R17 Nitto Trail Grappler M/T on 17" eagle wheels (will post pics up soon).

Im not really sure what the stock gear ratio is on this, but I wanna go to 4.10's, i think this will help with the 33" tires as well as help MPG

The deal now is, that I called Summit Racing to look for 4.10's and they asked if my front differential is "reverse rotation" I have no idea... Can anyone help me how to identify is it is or not?

Thanks and sorry for the long story

reverse rotation is actually the improper term for the style of gears that are in a high-pinion style front axle...and if they are asking you that I would be careful because with your truck it should be a question they need to ask
