Hello dear friends from the Tahoe forum.
For a month now I am the owner of a Tahoe LTZ with a third seat in front. That means my Tahoe has no center console like many others. Look at my pictures.
I noticed that my speakers in the back doors are not sounding. So today I dismantled the panels and removed the original Bose speakers. Many say that moisture can break these speakers very quickly.
I will convert JBL in the front as well as in the back and also replace the tweeters in the front with JBL. So far no problem. I have many car stereo systems built into German cars as well as my Chevy S10 Blazer.
Now I also plan to replace the radio with a double Din radio with touch screen. There are many interesting videos on YouTube. Now I have upgraded the original radio and found that below the radio this Bose amplifier was placed.
I suspect that can not be. Because if you look closely, the crossbrace bends very strong here. So this amplifier would have to sit somewhere else.
Also, I found a wiring harness in the drive bay you see below in the picture. He has a sticker with a Delphi original number on it. I have absolutely no idea what these plugs do and where they belong.
I suspect that here at the delivery of the car possibly a different radio was installed. But I can not test that. Or do you experts have an idea what these 4 plugs have for a function and where they belong?
I'm planning on switching to a Pioneer DVD radio and installing a TS-WX70DA subwoofer in the Tahoe. Especially since I install an extendable loading ramp in my trunk to facilitate the loading of the trunk. Therefore, no big box comes into question.
And what is that comic dome in the middle of the dashboard. Is this the remote control antenna?
I sincerely thank for your help ideas and solutions. Greetings from Germany Markus
