Hello,

I'm new at this so I hope I'm asking the right questions.
I've been offered to purchase a 2009 tahoe ltz, my first full size suv - very excited!, with every possible option.

Problem is that the adjustable pedals seem to be locked and won't move and the memory seat buttons won't engage. Would this be caused by the seat module? And can seat module be re-programmed without having to purchase a new one.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

EDDZ,

I am sorry I did not see this sooner. Did you figure out if the seat module was the issue? Is this vehicle at a dealership?

Thank you,

Elizabeth,

Thank you for getting back to me. To answer your questions, I have yet to figure out the problem and this vehicle is privately owned.

I took the vehicle for a test drive and quickly showed it to my mechanic. Everything looks great. The owner mentioned something about his "son replacing the module" but he wasn't to sure.

Like I said above, the seat heat and cool function work but the memory seat 1/2 buttons are non-responsive when pressed. It is hard for me to believe that it's a broken wire. I am assuming that the seat module needs to be re-programmed or has been replaced (as per above).

I tried to contact my local chevy and gmc dealerships but no one will even tell me if the seat module controls the pedals and/or memory seat unless I bring it in for a diagnostics test. I really don't mind doing so, but I would like to simply if the module would impact the pedals and memory seats.

Thanks,
Edward
