need help cruse control

my cruise control does not work.. all the light on the tahoe work. the cruise control light wont come on an it wont work UNLESS IM HOOKED TO A TRAILER. i thought this was weird but i unhooked the trailer lights and cruise quit working and when i hooked the trailer lights back up cruise worked again. i need help on this one lol. thanks in advance.

You have a short happening and the LED tails might have something to do with it. You probably need to add some resistors to the led tails.

If you have your stock taillights still, swap them out with the LED and see if that solves your problem! Easy way to see if the tails are the problem or not!!

I am getting LED tails this week, and don't want this happening. What ones do you have?

They are the problem... by connecting a trailer he's already added resistance which makes it work again.

Just need to add some resistive loads to the brake lights.

i got normal aftermarket tails but led bulbs because they dont produce heat so they wont melt the tail lights cause there is plastic close to the bulb
