Need help identifying this hose

Found this rubber hose dangling from the bottom of my Tahoe this morning it has a T one end is blocked off and the other end is open but I have no idea where it goes too couldn't find anything that it would hook up to it lost a bolt so the bracket fell off I followed the rubber hose from the drivers side and it goes over the crossover up and around the tranny case down by where the motor and transmission bolt up together on the passenger side the rubber hose goes into the side of the block into a metal port Anyone know what this is and where it's suppose to hook up too ? I can try n post a pic if I wasn't clear enough with my description thanks for all help
