I just got my new lock cylinder today from Amazon and it doesn't come with a key it's "uncoded".

I have a 1997 tahoe 5.7 4x4

I notice it doesn't look like it has pins in it. Do i take the pins out of the old one or something and put it in this one to use my key?

never did this before and dont want to remove my old one then screw something up and have no switch at all:uhoh2:

Take all parts to a locksmith and he will repin it to your existing key or maybe even make you a new one if he has the equipment.

You will need to get the tools and pinning parts. There are tools like measuring devices to determine pin size for example. not sure if available on amazon but try online for locksmith supplies.
