So on my way home the other nite I heard the brakes low warning squeel so today I brought the truck in to get checked out and it was the rear. So I had the rear replaced with Akebono pads retaining the stock rotors.
The truck feels night and day differant, the odd thing is the pedal didnt feel low at all so I was suprised when they starting making noise!
The issue now is the fronts are low and I am having issues finding the part number for stock GM pads (2010 Escalade Platinum). Do you think I should replace the rotors? They are not warped but I have a heavy foot and drive hard! Dont want to do this again in a few months.... Can you tell me the part numbers for the front rotors? How do I know if I have active brakes?
Anyone swap the stock units with something aftermarket that was actually worth it?? I replaced them on my last truck with Hawk pads and Centric Premium slotted rotors and was really not impressed! Any input would be appreciated!
