Any one have any recommendations on where to get these and the related equipment (mounting brackets, etc.)? I'm willing to part with my factory bench seats.

Are there any problems with installing second row buckets in an LS originally equipped with bench seats?

Located in Houston, Texas.

I've done the swap from 2nd row bench to buckets, it's very easy as long as the seats have the mounting brackets installed. No modification to your truck needed, just remove the old one and the new seats fit in perfectly.

Do you think you will need a new floor board piece too? The carpeted thing that covers the brackets? It's not bolted or anything...purely cosmetic. Or is there only one universal piece?

As far as locating them...you're best bet (most cost efficient) is to find someone on here to trade with. But there's always eBay, craigslist, and lkq. If your not familiar with lkq, here is their website, http://www.lkqcorp.com/home/home.asp.

Good luck! Let me know how it turns out. I have an 07 LS and doing the bench to buckets it my next project!

It will need new floor board pieces, as there are 2 for the captains and 1 for the bench.

zach2011, thanks for the info.

FLTahoe, thanks, I'll let you know how it turns out if I can find someone willing to make the trade.

although i cannot trade at this time, i have a techy question for you.

I need to remove the 2nd row bucket seats in order to transport 2 large dogs in their crates. I am having a difficult time removing the carpeted floor covering to access the seat bolts.

any idea what type of floor clips are used. i don't want to force them out and break the clips.

thanks.

The covering just pops off, you'll probably just need to pull harder.

There aren't any clips or anything (on mine anyway). It just kind of sets there.
