Hi all,

I just bought my very first GMC. Went all out on a 2018 4WD Yukon Denali w/ off road and ultimate packages. I had a Mercedes and Honda prior. The Mercedes had some electrical strangeness and i had no extended warranty. I got the extended warranty for my Honda Pilot and never used it but the tech in the 2010 Pilot was SLIM.

With all the tech in this Denali I'm thinking I should get one. I drove a TON. around 20k a year. And keep my cars for 8-10 years.

The dealer quoted me $2832 for the Exclusionary level at 7yr / 125k miles from Premier (psdadm.com). Is this a good price and does anyone have experience with them? Or are there better companies with better prices?

Thanks much!!

I don't have any experience with them, but had good luck with dealer extended warranty under similar driving conditions.

I purchased the GM extended protection plan. On my 2017 Escalade because of all the vehicles possible gremlins. I'm not a fan of spending more money on extended warranties. But with that said. Almost every vehicle today is so expensive to repair without a warranty to save you from an ugly repair bill. I had on on my Porsche Cayenne which I never used but it was a selling point for the resale. Like yourself, I plan on keeping my Escalade beyond the factory time and mileage limit .

Depending on the state you're in I would look into Protect My Car. It's super simple to get and not that expensive on a monthly basis. I purchased it on my 2008 Tahoe LTZ last June when it had 192,000 miles. I used the hell out of it to get better value to sell it recently.

There is another thread 3 or 4 pages back that has a list of online Dealers with their names and phone numbers. Contact them, get their best price then have your dealer match or beat the price. Well worth it with all the new tech, headlight assemblies about $1000 each, tail light assembly about $850 each and so on and so on. GMEPP warranty only.
