I have a 98 GMC Yukon 5.7 4wd. An within the last week or so ive noticed a deep clunking sound coming from the front left tire area, when i either turn to fast/sharp to the left or go over any bumps. i was told my ball joints might need replaced and i have now replaced both upper/lower ball joints n the front end. But the clunking is still there. The next couple of things i have been told to look into are, to replace all 4 shocks n see if that helps or my tension bar is bad. If anyone else has had this problem and fixed it any help or knowledge on the subject would be great. Thank you very much for your time.

aye. may not be the same problem, but some bolt that adjusts my camber was very loose and clunking around, i swear i looked all over in there, but when i had a friend look at it, he fixed it in a couple minutes.
It sounds almost identical, only when i turned sharp, for a while i just thought my 33s were rubbing... obviously not, they are 33s.

torsion bar would not make a clunk. wheel bearing? Could be the CV. Are the shocks leaking any fluid?

Plus as stated above, look around for loose items, crawl under and shake some things. See what happens

Look at your steering stops and clean off and throw a gob of grease on them and roadtest. May be the problem.

Sorry it has taken so long to reply. Since my last post I have replaced all 4 shocks and ball joints and each side and still have the same issue. I've purchased idle an pitman arms and going to get a tie rod this weekend. If that doesn't help next stop is the CV joint. Thank u all for the help again my apologies for not replying sooner.
P.s. Go BADGERS
