I finally was able to find a tahoe that I liked and I didn't wait to make the purchase. I was able to get a 02' LS 4x4 with only 58k on it. I couldn't be happier with the truck so far and this is my first tahoe. Been mostly a Ford truck guy even though I do have a Z06 hiding in the garage :)
I don't want to do a lot of things to the truck, but I would like to put a intake, corsa exhaust and blackbear tune on the truck. I would also like to put some nice 20's on it, but not sure what size tire to run. I was looking at 275/55/20 but I am not sure what would look the best and fill the wheel well.
I have been reading a lot of threads on this site for a while and there seems to be a TON of good information and I can't wait to learn more.

First off, WELCOME to the Forum and CONGRATULATIONS on your new ride. 58K on an '02 is AWESOME!

Secondly, POST SOME PICS of your new ride as we all like to see pictures here. ;)

I run OEM 20's on my truck with the Tires that GM put on these wheels, 275/55/20 Bridgestone Dueler. If you keep the truck stock heigth, it will not really fill the wheel well, unless you drop the truck. I dropped the rear on mine and I am extrely happy with it.
(if you go to my albums, you can see quite a few pics in regards to how the look of the truck has changed).

Personnally, I would not go higher then 20's on a 4x4 truck, as I am taking mine in the dirt on occassion and I do not wish to bust up or damage a nice wheel.

Welcome Chad. in addition to what Jochen said, you could also go 285/50/20 if you want a little wider tire. Anything wider(295,305) and you might get some rubbing but also depends on the offset of your wheels. And you need to post pics, or else....

When I get back in town I will try and get some pics up. Jochen your truck looks really good with the rear dropped 2". Where did you get the kit from and what shocks are you running? I really like the look of a 20" wheel and 275/55 tires with the truck lowered a little.

Thanks very much Chad, appreciate the nice comments.

My kit came from TONY (NORCALSS) who is on this site, you can look him up. However, you can also call or text him @ 415-519-2432. Tony is always available and will get back to you. A great guy to do business with and VERY knowledgeable. He is loacted just outside of San Francisco, CA.

I got the complete kit from Tony, which is a BELLTECH 2" inch rear drop kit, which included the coil springs as well as BELLTECH shocks for the front and rear.
Tony installed it for me (as I am only about 2 hours from San Francisco) and I paid a little less then 600 bucks including tax and installation. I could not be any happier.

Looking forward to seeing the pics of your truck.

JochenWoern would you mind sending Tony a message to PM me since I can't send messages until I have more posts? I would like to talk about the rear lowering kit for the tahoe.
Thanks
