Just bought a 04 Yukon XL yesterday. We traded in a 02 Mountaineer with 95000 mi on it and got 5500 for it and got the Yukon with 59000 mi for 16800. Wasn't the color we wanted but we needed the extra room and I think we got a good deal.

But once we got home and picked the kids up to take them for a ride, we noticed the rear air wouldn't switch to heat. That's how I found this site. I saw the thread on the failed actuator. I took everything apart and that was the problem. Got a new one and turned out to be the wrong part, so I messed around with the original one and I got it to move. Seemed like it has a bad connection, but I could still only get it to move one way. I would fix it to stay on heat, but I'd like to just fix it while I have it apart.

Has anybody had any success with fixing this? I'm going to give it another shot in the morning.

Sorry, Haven;t run into this problem, yet. Anyone resourceful enough to search out a problem on the net, take things apart, etc is always a fabulous addition to the site and I hope you'll stick around after you resolve your rear heat issue.

I know there have been a few threads on here by people with the same problem. I've searched briefly and haven't found any hard fixes for you yet but I'll keep looking.

Can't you just bring it back and have them fix it?

I was just thinking he could bring it back since he said he bought it yesterday. I know here in Ny there is a 3 month 3000 mile warranty.
