Hello all, I just picked up a 07 Yukon Denali saturday and have a few questions as far as performance. I've done a few searches on here and as I figured, most people recommend BBP tuning. I am a fan of EFI live, i've got it on my dmax and love it. My question is, which style tuning is better? Just getting an ecm or getting the autocal? I like the idea of cleaning up shift points and the tranny also. I'm looking for a good, all around daily driving/mild performance gain tune.
2. Are CAI worth it on the 6.2's? is there enough gains to justify buying one?
Thanks for any responses. and here is a pic ImageUploadedByTapatalk1352302643.033131.jpg

Regarding the BB Tune depends on how much you want to spend, can you do an in person tune, and will you want to change/adjust in the future (more mods).

As far as CAI, hopefully someone with a 6.2L can chime in (SS?). IMO depends on what your objectives are. In my experience, CAI with appropriate mods like free flow exhaust and tune will achieve some gains (better throttle response and minor butt dyno); but once all those are done the $/hp may not be worth it to some. Having said that I mostly do it for the sound and better daily driveability.

i dont see doing anything crazy to it, what u listed(tune, exhaust, cai) would probably be it. I know not to expect huge numbers, but the driveabilty is my big tipping point

Also as far as exhaust goes, would doing like a corsa or borla exhaust change the exhaust tone much? i think they sound great factory, just wondering

I believe black bear recommends cold air intakes before tuning. I THINK

And as far as exhaust goes if you don't want it louder just get a huge magnaflow just to free up the exhaust flow a little you'll see performance increase with exhaust cai and tune that i think you'd be happy with

alrighty, yeah i've looked at a couple complete systems, but i don't want any drone going down the highway. what it boils down to my wife likes the way it sounds now, but i'd like to see a little performance haha. so just doing a muffler might do the trick instead of a full system?

Get a CAI before an in person or Autocal tune. BB did a study/test on the best performing CAI's. Definitely check out Corsa for exhausts. They are more money but well worth it. The Touring is a step above stock and the Sport is just nasty(in a good way). I have the Sport and have zero drone on the highway. I make multiple trips upnorth during the summer with the family and get zero complaints. Also a BB tune will yield a little better fuel economy---as long as you keep your foot out of it all the time!!

i'm really starting to like what i'm hearing! i had the corsa touring on my old 09 sierra and wasn't loud enough to me. do all the corsa kits come with the dual tips? sounds like i need to get in touch with BB and get things rolling

Corsa will be too loud for him!
He wants to keep it quiet just get performance
Tony(NorCal ss) runs magnaflow part number 12909 and I believe it's 28" long and I believe that's how long the stock muffler is its a little louder and opens up the flow.

yes the Corsa exhaust comes with dual tips. I don't think the Sport would be too loud either. If you roll into the throttle it is just a little louder-if you go 3/4 to WOT then she wakes up. The sport does have some raspiness to it but that is what I like about it. I wasn't gonna spend $800 on a catback to just have a slighter louder than stock exhaust. Corsa is known for 'droneless' exhaust-its part of their RSC technology. Here is a great clip but on a NBS. I'm sure by searching youtube you can find one with a NNBS.
