Hey whats up everyone, Just picked up an 07 Tahoe LTZ and Ive already got a list of mods Id love to start with. The 4WD truck world is new to me so I'll be reading on here forever along with asking you guys a million over answered questions. lol

so here we go:

1. I need tires. after doing some reading Id like to go with Nitto Terra Grapplers. How does everyone feel about those?

2. I would like to get the biggest, fattest tire i can get on that 20inch LTZ rim.. So after more reading 305/55/20 seems like the best size? Any input appreciated..

3. Im also aware I need a leveling kit to fit that tire.. hows the ccm kit working out for everyone? I want to install myself.. whats involved with that... is it as straight-forward as it seems? and anything else I should know?

4. Anyone have any information on whether or not a leveling kit or tiresize change affects the LTZ's autoride system?

5. Whats the deal with this trimming and whats involved on a tahoe? The idea of cutting anything on my new truck is scary lol.

6. after installing the CCM kit and tires is it absolutely nessesary to get an alignment or just "recommended?"

PS. I plan on washing her up this week when it gets nice out and taking some pics, for now we got 4 inches of rain coming here over the next 3 days

THANKS!

Welcome aboard! You will enjoy this place! I have heard those Grapplers are pretty good. I have the BFG all terrains though. Hope you get some more questions answered

Whats up bro, welcome to the forum. To answer some of your questions:

1. Terra Grapplers are an EXCELLENT choice.

Another great option is the Cooper Zeon LTZ

2. Unless you are changing your rims, the biggest tire you want to run is a 285. Dont worry, it will still look nice and fat under there without rubbing issues

3. I would recoomend the ReadyLIFT SST kit. You can do a 2.25" spacer in front and a
1" spacer in the rear.

4. Should not be an issue as long as you dont go over 2.25" in the front and 1" on the rear.

5. You should not have to trim with a 285.

6. Yes, it is necessary to get an alignment. Very important to align any time you change the geometry of the vehicle.
