Hey everyone. I just thought I would share my latest mod. I just picked up these Escalade Platinum heated and cooled cup holders last week.

I took them apart by heating up the little plastic tabs on the back. This was a bit tedious but not too bad. I had to separate the wood trim from the cupholder assembly.

Then I got it installed into the Denali console housing. Comparison of the new on the left to old on the right.

Here are the rest of the pics with it installed and working. It actually works really well. It gets very hot and pretty cold!

It has only three wires. Positive, ground and instrument panel lights (or 12v ignition switched).

It uses a thermoelectric heating/cooling element. I don't know exactly how cold. But I read on another forum someone had an infrared temperature reader and saw the cooling go down to about 34 or 35 degrees I think.
