New deck install help

So my NBS burb has some old Pioneer premier deck and has no aux or iPod support. Is it easy in the NBS to just pull this one out and grab a new deck to plug in? I never have done a deck install on my own but it's already got dash kit and trim stuff. I was gonna buy a deck on Crutchfield or at car toys or frys in a few days.

You first have to see if the wiring harness will interchange between your two decks. If they do, then your golden! If not, You will have to re-wire the new deck with that specific wiring harness.

Like if I stick to a pioneer brand maybe better luck? I have a auto electrical kit and soldering iron now too.
