Hopefully someone has run into this issue as well.

I just installed a Pioneer FH-X721BT, with a GMOS-04 from Access. My truck is a non-bose system. The head unit lights up, radio stations come in, connects to my phone through bluetooth, but the volume is very low, I can barely hear the door chime. I adjusted the axxess volume to improve that, it did very little.

I did not buy the harness to reconnect the steering wheel controls. From what I have read on these forums there is a stock amp built into my tahoe. I also found a post about splicing the pink wire from the smaller harness to the blue/white remote wire from the head unit to send power to the amp. When I did this the deck no longer powers up.

I've installed many stereos over the years, but never ran into an issue like this... thanks for any help in advance.

Sorry I thought I had something but upon further research I don't think it helps.
You have the knob on the GMOS-04 turned up?

you only needed to connect the power antenna wire wich connects to the pink wire in the factory harness if you got no sound at all if your getting low volume something else is wrong how did you splice the wires together just twist them to gether and stick end connectors on ? solder ? thats were i check if i have problems when i install my own stuff
9 times outta ten i didnt splice some wires well enough

I appreciate the responses. The wrong harness was sent for my truck. It was meant for a BOSE system. I have the proper harness in now and all is well. Thanks!
