Just picked up a White 2009 Yukon. I couldn't justify having an SUV before, but now my commute is less than 2 miles to work. Very happy with the purchase and have already started upgrading. I have been reading this forum for a couple of weeks now and will start becoming more active. I am a mechanical engineering with electrical engineering background, too. However, I never really worked on vehicles other than the occasional stereo or alarm install for a friend. I have started realizing how much I can do to my own vehicles lately and so I wasn't as afraid to take on a used SUV with high mileage. Especially considering the availability of parts and knowledge from the community.
