Hey y'all. I'm Dave. New to this forum, but part of plenty of other forums.
ANYway.. Always been into the OBS Silverados but ended up selling them for a commuter car (BMW) back in 2006 and then just recently inherited a 77 Chevy K10 that I'm playin with.

Now I'm actually selling my BMW and getting back into an OBS as my daily. This time it's looking to be a lifted 1995 4dr Tahoe 4x4.
I'll get all the details and plenty of pics for all y'all when I actually take delivery of it. Should be soon hopefully.
I'm buying it from my father-in-law and he said he needs to get a couple little things taken care of on it before he passes it off to me.

Anyway, long story.. no pics of the Tahoe. What a terrible way to intro myself.

So just for fun, here's my rusty 77 K10 to hold ya over until I get pics of the Tahoe
It's got an 87+ crate 350 motor, B&M trans, lifted, Thorley headers, and dual Flowmasters. It's good fun for a toy. Wouldnt make much for a daily driver though as I bet it would get up to 10mpg headed downhill with a back-wind. :hands:

Hey I know you! :happy160: Thanks. :D
Trying to get my daily driver situation under wraps so I can have a fun Chevy to drive every day, and still be able to play with the ol square on the weekends. :D

welcome from another socal memeber. Good times man!
Thank you thank you. Do we ever have any Tahoe/Yukon SoCal get togethers or excursions or anything? That could be some fun.. :D

Oh yeah. The first vehicle I ever bought on my own was when I was 16 and picked up a 94 Silverado 4x4 2500. 8 months later, bought a 97 Silverado Z71 1500.. haha. I loved OBS's.. Then when I moved down to Southern CA to attend college, I was commuting a lot and a full size 4x4 wasnt good with rising gas prices. So I sold them for the 2 door commuter car.

Now done with college, working on the career and not doing the whole long commutes and looking for more fun in a camping vehicle or beach mobile.. Going back to OBS!

My father in law mentioned he needed to get rid of his 95 Tahoe and I said, Ohhhh really?? Let's chat. :D

Right now it's around 175k on the original motor but runs good and has been well maintained. Trans are decent and 4WD hasnt given any issues, but hasnt really been truly "USED" if you know what I mean.
The interior has been completely gutted and Dynamatted (floor, walls, and roof) and then new carpeting and new headliner installed with original seats put back in. It then got a full refreshed paint job after the 4" RCX lift was installed.

So essentially, most of the interior and the exterior is pretty prime. 8/10.

The rough concept right now will be that I will buy it and drive it for a bit while I market and sell my BMW. Trying to get between $3k-4k for that. Once it sells, I'm going to reinvest the $3k into a new 96+ long block 350, Vortec heads, with Chevy Perf manifold to bolt up the existing TBI to the new Vortec heads. Drop the new motor in and essentially should be looking at pretty newly restored 95 Tahoe 4X4, ready for some expeditions out for camping/surfing/snowboarding trips. :D
